    The BOE voted to repeal Policy 5756 despite strong opposition from students, parents, and supporters. Both sides presented their cases, with supporters emphasizing the importance of the policy in protecting transgender students. The repeal was heavily opposed by locals, while non-resident supporters included individuals from extremist groups.
